Yes, it goes under any ROM chip in the Apple's address space (not the
character gen ROM, for example), or even under any peripheral slot
card ROM.

It comes with a driver which, like the built-in ThunderClock driver,
infers the year from the date and day of week.  As a result, the
driver needs regular updates to deliver the correct year.  These are
usually posted in various places every few years...
