How can one tell how much RAM one got and where it is?

Open the case and inspect the RAM chips. It is highly unlikely for any Apple
II these days to have less than 48k of RAM.

I realized I have a Microsoft RAMCard and according to the manual one needs to have 48K in the machine in order for it to work. The RAM-card has 16K but needs to use bank-switching (due to the ROM and I/O).
