Try checking the disk for errors (or, as Copy ][+ would say, Verifying
a disk). If it comes up almost totally errors, you are either looking
at a broken of protected disk.

Apple's System Utilities says it wil will catalog DOS 3.2, DOS 3.3,
ProDOS, Pascal, and CP/M disks. If you're adventurous, you may even
want to search for a moved DOS 3.3 directory. This involves a sector
editor, but if ya wannu, read on: Look at Track 17 ($11), sector 0
($0). Next, look at bytes 1 & 2. They may tell you what track and
sector the directory is on.

In the Feb. '83 issue of Softalk, in the Dostalk section, Bert Kersey
said that on a DOS 3.3 disk, on track $11, sector 0, byte 0 is 4.
Does anybody know why?
