Kermit woes


I'm having trouble getting Kermit to display on my IIe.  ProTerm works 
just fine (I'm using it now, in fact) but I want the VT-100 cursor keys 
which Kermit supports.  I'm using a SSC and a Practical Peripherals 14.4 
modem (at 4800 baud)

Kermit sends commands to the modem and connects to the remote system.  If 
I hold the return key down the characters are displayed one at a time, 
very slowly.  I've messed with just about every setting Kermit has and I 
can't get it to simply display what the modem is sending.  On the SSC 
switches 1-5, 1-6, 1-7 and 2-6, 2-7 are on.

Any ideas, anyone?
