   If there's larger ROMs, you need a place to put them (or probably
larger pinouts unless you multiplex). The MMU (Memory Management Unit,
but doesn't do any forms of protected memory) may also need some extra
functionality to do rom bankswitching; not sure if Apple's engineers
thought ahead or not.

   3.1 and 5.1. Proterm 3.1 will still run on a basic //c; AW 5.1
really wants a 256K or more Apple II with 3.5" drives or a HD. AW 4.x
was starting to fill up a 128K machine; 3.x was the last comfortable
128K version.
