    Well, the Finder still creates and updates 'Finder.Data' files.
In fact, looking at the '/Incoming' directory on my hardrive, there is
such a file there now, with a modification date of December 18, 1996
(yesterday, when I told to Finder to save the new position of icons 
after I moved them around). I know if I delete this file, the window
size, icon's position and color info will be lost.
