If I remember correctly, the Apple Lisa would serialize the Lisa 7/7
install disks after an installation so that you could not use the install
disks on any other Lisa. Thus,if you are to get the Lisa 7/7 software
disks from somebody they won't work unless:

A. The disks are unused.

or

B. You can change the serial number of your Lisa. (I'm not sure if the
serial number was coded in firmware, or on the internal Profile Hard
Disk.)
