The Sanyo MBC 550 is a 3.6MHz 8088-based machine that runs MS-DOS.
Apparently it shipped with 128K, but was expandable to 256K.
It had an 80-column display, and 640x200 8-colour graphics.
The 550 came with a single 160K 3-inch floppy drive, and the 555 came
with two drives.
It shipped with WordStar and CalcStar, BASIC and some other software.
The thing looks like an old VCR with a keyboard or something.
I've never seen one, I've only seen it's picture and some basic stats in
a book I borrowed from my university's library. Reference is:
Longley, _The Microcomputer Users Handbook 1985_, p.286. (Sorry, that's
all I wrote down - so I could find it again.)
If anyone has any more info on the machine, I'd love to hear it.
Unfortunately, though, this is off-topic for most of the newsgroups this
is posted to. ;)
