To clarify what Ed said, the ImageWriter II cable is the SAME as a
null modem cable.  Some wires are switched going from one to the other.
This is why serial transfers between two computers works with a printer
cable (only on a //c, Mac, or IIGS to another computer, though).

Thus, someone wishing to transfer files between two computers should
look for a serial/IWII cable (if they wish to transfer to a Mac from a
//c, Mac, or IIGS, that is).  IIe Super Serial cables work differently
and should not be used in this way (on a SSC, the card can be switched,
not the cabling).
