Normally, people go with cross-ment systems because they're faster.
I'd say that my Zip 9/32 system is way faster than an emulated 2.5Mhz
GS. And no, I'm not about to go get a PPro/200 or so just to get
7-8Mhz. Only college kiddies would generally have access to
ultrasparcs and such that are just sitting idle all the time.
XGS still needs some serious work to make it usable; Ian and a few
others on #appleiigs made a few tweaks that made it far more useful.
Not sure if/when those changes will be made back into the regular
source tree if at all.
My real GS still is better. That's all I care about.
