Hmm, the question is what's on the disk you are trying to boot from. Did this
disk come with the IIgs? Maybe this disk has gonew belly up, the previous owner
deleted something, or whatever. You should try getting your hands on a clean
copy of GS/OS and try again.
UNABLE T%O LOAD PRODOS basically means that the system could not find the file
"Prodos" in the disk's root directory. Please correct me if I'm wrong. However,
the disk you were using obviously contains at least the boot record required
for booting from a disk. If you have a diusk cataloger (Prosel, some other
GS/OS, Prodos 16 disk with a Finder), it'd be helpful to know what's on the
disk.
