Thanks for the nice compliment, but I'm certainly not a "full-blown
programmer" as you state. In fact, my programming experience does not go
beyond having written some programs in Applesoft BASIC, none of which
I've publically released. I've no idea where you came up with the notion
that I'm a high class Apple II programmer. Oh, I am a graphic-artist, but
not a programmer. Quite a difference between the two though... ;-)
As for your other statement, that isn't right either. I never told
you, or anyone for that matter, that I was specifically offended by Dave.
I _have_ said the atmosphere in #appleIIgs has changed, and would agree
it may not be as inviting and friendly as it once was, but I've _never_
singled out or blamed one person as the cause. And sure, on occation I've
experienced what could be considered rude on the channel, but then I've
found it exteremly light compared to some experiences walking in on
other channels (eg, #amiga, #unix, #snes, etc). These channels are
informal hang-outs, almost as one person once put it, virtual bars.
It is unfortunate few people (if any at all) want to dicuss the IIgs
in #appleIIgs, but you cannot force them to do otherwise if they don't
want to.
