Schools and GS vs fast //e

   Fast //e? Heck, my school used them as //es with color monitors and
the occasional Appleworks run. The system speed was set to Normal on
all of them.

   One of my earliest 'flames' (I didn't think of it as such at the
time) was an article for the school paper criticizing the purchase of
GSs (and a few Mac LCs) if they wouldn't buy any software to go along
with them. The computer admin was a bit ticked off over having their
failings shredded like that. :)

   They got a lot more Mac software the next year, but the GSs
languished running some cruddy educational software, and have been
sold off by now.  What a waste of ROM 3s.
