Hi David,
        Go to www.opcode.com and look up info on their "MIDI Translator" for 
the Mac.  The simple serial port-based interfaces for the mac will also work 
on the GS.  Bear in mind, "simple" means a single port MIDI interface.  No 
massive multi-port 128-channel SMPTE/MTC sync rack mountable interfaces will 
work, since drivers aren't available, but the simple boxes will work just 
fine.
