     If the back of your SSG diskette (the "Map Disk" side) is not
protected, then you should be able to do a save at the Pub. (You need to
press RETURN. Just pressing the joystick button exits with no save.)

     A save will remember your expedition goodies, date, and current
status at the Outfitters. When you reboot the game, insert the Map Disk
side, and select Resume ..., you should be near your Home with everything
ready to go from the point of the last save.
  
     If save does not seem to work, try going on an expedition, returning,
and doing a save. On some versions, this may fix the problem.
