How is it borderline spam when I get no financial benefit from suggesting what is a great service that still supports classic and legacy systems. Everybody complains these days that the internet world has moved on and this freenet is fighting to stay alive so that it can offer free (for needy folks) and cheap accounts for hobbyists, legacy buffs to hang onto their older systems and connect directly with the internet and not worry about javascript garbage, cookies etc?
No wonder I hardly post on csa2 anymore with attitudes like this. I fight to help keep the II alive everyday and offer support for anyone looking to do so. And what do I get? Accused of spamming the newsgroup. Get real! So, are those folks who are bragging up Carte Blanche, the iDisk etc spamming? Getting a cheap internet text account is a lot easier than writing scripts to try to connect your IIc to a PC and getting ftp to work over it.
