cache problems

I am trying to use the Applied Engineering CACHE programs
for GS.RAM and GS.RAM.plus.
They are AECACHE.SYSTEM and AECACHE.SETUP (dated 1987).
Both programs disable GSOS601.
Are they incomatible? Are there updates of the CACHE programs available?
