Funny, I've read c.s.a2 since 1988 (well ok, it was c.s.a originally) and
Nathan has been a participant for a large part of the time I have read the
group and I never remember there being any flame wars or fighting until
fairly recently. In fact I think it started up very soon after Mr. Turley
appeared. (Note that I am not blaming him for everything, but that's when
the massive flames began, as I recall). The fact is that Nathan, by himself,
is not a problem.

As for you Steve, I agree with you about old software that is no longer
available. I see no reason why I shouldn't download a disk image from
Asimov. There's no way I could purchase most of that stuff no matter how
much I was willing to pay. I think that most Apple II users agree with
me, although I know that some don't.

However, pirating currently available software is reprehensible. I don't care
how old the computer is, there is absolutely no justification for stealing
software that is currently being sold and supported. That includes Proterm,
Procyon products, Seven Hills products, SQC products, SS2 products, and others.
Once again I think that most Apple II users agree with me, although
unfortunately, some don't. I would be thrilled to see those people prosecuted.

I don't know what you do for a living, but think how you would feel if you
put 6 months or a year of your time into creating a program and then instead
of receiving even the slightest return for your hard work, your program was
copied all over the place, and available from ftp sites.
