Apple diskette in PC

Hello there,

could someone tell me if it is possible to get a PC running OS/2 or 
DOS respectively to read an Apple formatted diskette.

The scenario is this: a few files every once in a while need to be
transferred from a Performa (don't know the type) to a PC running OS/2
Warp. The two computers are physically not close enough to do the
transfer via a cable. So, the idea of transferring the files (pictures 
mostly) via diskette came to mind. Is this possible though ?
