Bill,
Does anyone have an idea what the projected sales were? I know it would not
have sold as much as Word or Word Perfect but I can asure it would be the
best piece of software sold for the GS. It is something everyone will use.
No matter what the price was, if the quality was there, it would be bought
up. We're talking about software that would be used almost on a daily basis
for most people. What I don't understand is how this project is such a
"large undertaking" but a new operating system isn't. Irealize that with an
OS, patches and cleanups can be made to update it. But with ByteWorks and
Brutal Deluxe each making their own, isn't this a waste ofresources. Why
two different versions of one operating systems?
My point to this is no one wants to do a new WP because it is a waste of
time and money, but its not a waste of time and money to write to of the
same programs.
BTW, Wolf 3D, is this a waste? Sheppy is finishing it up and is making it
FREEWARE!! This project has been ongoing for quite some time (2 years). And
the man asks nothing in return for use of his spare time.
