Besides, think about this:

Many people claim that 'to keep the II community alive, you need to buy your
software'. But note this: if you buy it second hand, who's getting better of
it? The software companies, or the previous owner?

Of course, if the title is still (easily) available, you should try to buy it
from a software house, or software company (like Byte Works, GS+, Sequential,
Joe Kohn, Vitesse, and so on).
