SyQuest Help!

Last night I blew up another SyQuest 44 Meg. cart.  Does anyone have
this drive, and have any experience with it?  

I am running Wings as a desktop organizer, and used Salvation Deliverance
to check out the cart.  It reported many, many bad blocks, and the
data appears pretty scrambled on the disk.  Is this normal?  (Normal in 
the sense of "does anyone have this drive, and do they fail this way?")

I would appreciate any insight that may be available, and TIA.
