Old Apple IIGS games

I have owned an Apple IIGS for 9 years and have really gotten my use out
of it. It went from system 1.2 to system 6.0.1, from 256k to 4 megs and
from 2.6 Mhz to 6 Mhz, etc. I took it to other countries and back.

thats where the problem happened.

Over this period of time, I had collected numerous software titles for
the GS- now unavailable (and even if they were, I would have to pay for
them again). When I came back to the United States after living in Costa
Rica for a year, I found I had forgotten a very important box!

It is so frustrating when you have a collection of really fun games, such
as Grand Prix Circuit, Zany Golf, HardBall!, Manhunter, Bubble Ghost,
Marble Madness, Flobynoid, and many more... and you LOSE them, knowing
that there is no way you'll ever have these games again. I sometimes
sit up at night wishing to be able to play those old, wonderful games.

But alas, I wont.

The only copies of them are floating around in the hands of many... but
they stay there, of course. We wouldn't want to pirate these games and
lose the companies absolutely nothing! (god forbid)

I actually looked around for a pirate IIGS game site a while, after
realizing that it would be pointless- if there is such a thing, it's like
finding a needle in a 600k ton haystack.

So I have cried my tear for the GS and since my old games are gone,
so is a lot of the amazement that I recieve from this good ol computer.

please comment...
