This are good news. But...
*Nobody* except for the Apple execs knows exactly where these $25 mio come
from. After the $700 mio fiasco when Amelio started at Apple, there definitely
was a certain pressure on him to get back to profits. These profits can
originate from sales to the K-12 market, from cost-reducing measures, by firing
engineers they will need in 3 years, or by selling their Toys'R'Us shares. (No,
they don't own such. :) )
$25 mio is a rather small amount compared to their shareholder value. Maybe
they just hired some financial pro who knows more tricks than the one who got
fired? :-)
