Actually, if I really wanted to play games on an Apple II, I would get a 
IIgs. Not only can they play all the games the IIe, IIc can, but they can 
also play all of the truly fantastic GS games out there (and they are there)!
It really wouldn't be that much more, either, if you get it at the right 
place.
