Advice on CD players

Yeah, what Carl said.  I, too, am in the market for a CD-Rom drive,
and the more useful info I have, the better.  Recommendations gladly
accepted.
 
 
Speaking of Diz's article, (which I read quickly, and should reread
to make sure I didn't miss something important), Joe, did he (or you)
mention whether or not these Apple CD-Rom drives will also play music
CDs, and if so what drivers they need?
