Re: Apple IIgs Hard drive

The focus hard disk is nice because it fits inside your computer. Nice,
neat, conserves desktop space. Many people use SCSI hard drives (of the
sort that serve as external drives for a Macintosh) attached to a SCSI
card. The most popular SCSI cards are those made by Apple (try the usenet
group "comp.sys.apple2" for one of these) and the RAMfast SCSI card,
which is made and supported by Sequential Systems. I'm afraid that I
don't have their phone number handy at the moment.

The main reason that SCSI is such a popular option is flexibility: you
can chain a number of drives, CD-ROM readers, and other devices together.

I hope this helps.
