The first thing I have to say is this is cool! I've only played Lemmings
once before and that was just a Mac demo. Brutal Deluxe did a good job of
converting the game to a 320 x 200 16 color screen. A bonus is that they
did not use any 3200 color pictures so it is 100% compatible with the
Second Sight (and I did not notice any jerkiness at all when played using
the Second Sight).
As per request by Brutal Deluxe, they want to see beta reports on
comp.sys.apple2.
1) Passcode to enter level 3 does not work. I did check to make sure
the checksum on the passcode is valid.
2) Stopper lemming may cause a problem. On level 3, I've managed to
put a stopper lemming to block lemmings from heading too far right and
all the lemming get stuck in front of the stopper instead of turning
around. I think that this might be an even/odd pixel problem. This
has happened on two different sections of the board--on the ground
and the second platform above the ground.
3) Sound effects may not stop. The yippee of the first lemming to get
home sometimes does not stop. I *think* I noticed this happening when
another sound is playing at the same time (You need to increment a
counter when multiple sounds are playing at the same time so you know
when to turn the voice(s) off). Playing another sound effect will turn
off the voice(s) as soon as it finishes.
