The language built into a //e is AppleSoft.  The 'language not available' 
message implies that the computer was trying to run an Integer basic
program.

If you have a copy of the dos 3.3 system master, boot that first, then
insert your program disk and type "PR#6" (without the quotes).

: The disk says 1981 and DOS  3.2/3.3.  The disk also says
: master disk and is file protected.  Have several disks that do this.

Muse Software sold some of their programs (such as Castle Wolfenstein)
on a protected DOS 3.2/3.3 disk.  

One last question : do you see a > or a ] next to the cursor?
