I recently installed a more complete copy of GS/OS on the Microdrive.
Originally, I did a default "Easy" installation. Now, when I boot, I
get an error. The GUI starts loading and then a solid blue screen
appears with the following text:
"The selected Appletalk connection could not be found. Be sure it is
installed and the slot settings in the Control Panel are correct."
I hit ENTER and the GUI finishes booting.
Since I don't need to use Appletalk, I trashed all of the Appletalk
related files in several system folders. I still get the error on
boot.
I do want to keep the DC.Printer control panel, Epson driver and
Laserwriter driver. Do these use Appletalk somehow, even when directly
connected (or not all)?
I Googled the FAQs and the web, but didn't find anything helpful.
Solutions most welcome :-)
