Given that the FTA programmers went very on the metal for 3.5"
disk access (so low-level that they broke Unidisk support), that's not
really an option.
Freetools may let you push the rules a little. But, most of those
things'll come back and bite you bigtime later on. Look at the GS<>IRC
demos for how to properly do a demo compatible with GS/OS, and the
like. Much nicer overall.
