What ever became of the GS graphical web browser?

GS/TCP and all those other things with the graphical web browser for the 
gs were being talked about, where does it all sit now?  

How good was the graphical viewer, did it do the jpg downloads live and 
display them (I guess more scrolling would be needed, but worth it),

I don't know.  I now am set up to use software like that and of course 
the software isn't there. Doh! I should by a cheap 386 used just for net 
browsing.
