How much RAM?

This was originally asked in regards to a IIGS.  The responses were all 
accurate.  I'd also like to recommend a program called SlotScan by Robert 
S. Claney.  It reports total RAM, as well as identifying the machine it's 
running on and lists the cards installed in the slots.  It works on all 
Apple II's, even the ][ and ][+.  Real handy when you have a whole 
computer lab of II's to identify.  SlotScan should be available at any 
reputable Apple II archive (ground, caltech, Genie, etc.).
