HELP running apple II on IBM PLEASE!

HELP!

I recently had a burning desire to play some of my old Apple II games,
except I no longer have my Apple II, But an IBM PC.

I went to FTP.Asimov.net and downloaded several games which came over as
GZ files and I downloaded APLEMU-3.zip and unzipped it and my IBM was
turned into an AppleII, but I am unable to run the games.

How can I achieve my goal.

If someone smarter than I can lead me step by step through the woods I
would appreciate it and return a favor if I can.
