Nancy,

A while ago, I had a real problem trying to figure out how to get my Eudora email to
operate off a diskette so I could check my email from any connected Mac in our
school system. I asked just about every computer person I knew, including the tech
support people from two ISP's in our town. (I didn't post to the Mac news group,
nor did I contact the author of Eudora; I figured it was a fairly simple question.)
No one could tell me how to do it, much less whether it was even possible.

Then I went to a teacher inservice across our state. I wasn't particluarly
interested in how to "Fish the Net", but did talk to the workshop faculty and school
network people. One of the network administrators had figured out the answer and
gladly shared with me the way to do it. Was I happy? You bet. Now I carry my
email diskette every where I go, and can check my mail anywhere (even from my
PowerBook!). I'm in email heaven!

Oh, by the way, that network administrator? Middle school 8th grader. Let's see
that's, ah... 13 years old, or something like that?
