Don't think there are many line-level mixing boxes available for
cheap; you may have to build your own or some such.
If you'd like to play multiple sources on one speaker, you may want
to investigate some brands of speakers that can take multiple inputs.
My Altec Lansing speakers have 2 input ports on the back, and are
connected up to my pentium box and a CD player. [Better speakers are
on my dolby surround setup in my living room; ironically, I still
spend more time in front of my computers than watching videos :]
My GS still has some cheapo speakers I picked up some years
back... the sound quality from them sucks compared to the Altec
Lansings. I'm no $1K per speaker audiophile, but with speakers <$35,
you tend to get worse than you pay for. Make sure you invest in
quality equipment.
