Nah, no PAL color, only 50Hz video. Real PAL is more: there is also a
color correction scheme which wasn't implemented in the GS' so-called 'PAL
mode' either. I suppose because there is another scheme called SECAM which
would have further complicated matters.
If you wanted real PAL on the europlus you needed an expansion card with
some nasty HF parts on it and which had to be plugged into slot #7.
