That was one use which I hadn't thought of when I made my original post a
few weeks ago about why would one want 30 MHz. I found an old post where
someone was comparing MPW on the IIGS versus on the Mac. He was compiling
some C program, and remarked that it took several hours on the GS, but less
than an hour on the Mac.

I'll see if I can locate that article if anyone is interested in reading it.
