AE 800K drive

Anybody know a way to get an AE 800k drive repaired? Bought it new direct
from AE some years ago. Worked great. Quit one day after using on a Mac
Plus as an external drive. Seemed to work on the Plus but never worked
again on the IIgs OR the Plus after that day. Did I do a bad thing?
