That Apple Computer Inc. NEVER made a computer named "Apple
Computer". All computers from Apple have had some OTHER name to them, be
it "Apple I" (Strange but true, that WAS the original name - Woz planned
on future models!), or "Performa 5200/75".

So - your allegation that "Apple quit making Apple Computers in
1988" or whatever is not truth.

NOW - Let's rephrase what you most likely meant - "In my opinion,
Apple quit making REAL computers when they dropped the Apple ][ family in
1992". THAT, being an opinion, isn't untrue (well, it MIGHT be, but then
again, only YOU know what opinions you have!), and avoids looking like an
opinionated jackass.

No, they don't. Very rarely am I slammed. Have you slammed me?
If so, my Kevlar undies must be working - I didn't notice it.

"Back Online" - hmmm ... Where have I run into you before? I've
been reading csa2 for about a year now, but mostly lurking.

Forgotten more about the Apple II than I'll ever know? Quite
likely - I've never been able to wrap my brain around 6502 assembler. I
jest know that my favorite programming language is "HotSolder", and that
the Apple ][ always did lend itself well to that language (grins!).

Now - to explain about the "dicer". Whenever you choose to insult
someone (like you have that poor lady about her PowerBook, which DOES say
"Apple" on it ... easy enough mistake to make!), by such a rant as what
you did, you MAY think you're "flaming" (a rather purile exercise, but
we'll leave that for the nonce), but instead, to those of us who love the
old iron, won't ditch our ][+s and //es for anything, but ALSO appreciate
what the Macintosh (and, yes, even Windows 95 and WinNT 4.x!!) bring to
the computer world, you just sound like a little child whining. However,
by appropriate choice of words, you can instead illuminate and educate - a
MUCH harder task, but one better suited to those that claim to love one of
the best computers of all time (the Apple ][ family!).
