Re: Very curious
*well..that is when you get into the legal trouble stuff...when you sell
*it....or at least that is when enforcemtent types take notice..but as
*far as backup of my old apple //e bbs files, apple software, etc i have
*on floppies...when the drives get cheap enough i plan on putting all
*that stuff on archieve cd ...floppies don't last forever...neither do
*cd's but i've some floppies that are 20yrs old..so time to put them on
*a spare/diff media...(this is irregardless of the copyright
*guestion...some of this stuff is gonna have to be copied to something
*newer...even if it is just for your own use...)
*anyway....i could then mount all this stuff as a sysop only area for my
*own use on my bbs ...so i could file/export the stuff for my use as
*needed w/o having to dig up the floppy ...just d/l it and unshk it as
*needed on my gs door...
*whatever...my 2 cents worth....

(Eyes rolling) I did not say i would be going into the business, friend. I was
just curious. It's obvious that someone's putting a lot of legal mojo on people
to keep them from freely distributing the stuff. Asimov seems to be the only
site that's waving off the legal flies and i, for one, am glad of it.
I help a lot of people out down here that do without or can't afford computers.
To them, an Apple //c is a miracle and if i can get them some software to use
with it, i will.
I never have asked for money when i did something, even when i ran a BBS. I've
always given when i had because they say it will come back to you (and it has).
I'll probably keep helping people out in this way as long as it really,
physically hurts no one else.
