	Somehow, I missed the first round of messages on the need for batteries. 
However, I have a small note to make on the need for batteries ---

	Back when the IIgs was new, and I worked at an Apple dealer, we noticed
that the first round of boards ALL came in with dead batteries.  The
reason?  The static shielded bags they were shipped in were CONDUCTIVE on
the inside!  SOO ... you place the mombo in the bag, and presto!  Instant
battery drain.

	Got one in that partially melted the outer PLASTIC.

	Apple quickly fixed THAT problem ... and used shielded bags with an
INTERNAL insulating layer.
