This may be mentioned in the FAQ, but you can't really expect any
two SCSI buses to be identical.  Sometimes you have to experiment
with combinations of ID numbers, sequence on the SCSI chain, 
termination/no termination/multiple terminators, etc.  

For example, my system is only stable if the device IDs are assigned
in the order in which the devices reside on the chain (highest number
away from the RAMFast).  Unless I've missed something in the standard,
this is not supposed to be a requirement.  Also don't forget that
if you have a RAMFast, then ID 7 can be used for a device.

My old tape drive (now defunct after I forgot to shut down all three
power supplies when disconnecting the bus) required termination to
be installed even though it was not the last device on the chain.
