Gate & Spacefox

I have decided that I use the fact that Henrik Gudat of Bright
Software appears frequently in this newsgroup and that I post
an open letter about their two major game software products,
Gate and Spacefox, formerly distributed by Seven Hills, now
available from Joe Kohn.

Well, when I bought the Gate, I have had much fun with it. It
is better than Gauntlet GS (but this is true for any GS game,
I suppose :) and it is better than Alien Mind. It has riddles,
various mazes and monsters, good graphics and background music
and the level of difficulty is just right. The only minor flaw
is that it comes with a custom DOS which may cause problems
with some configurations.

Three cheers for Gate and a big punch onto the nose for Space
Fox. I guess Bright Software has tried to make the fastest game
for the GS and forgotten that it should be a game, not only a
graphics demo. Why does Space Fox has ten levels when it is so
difficult that you won't see them without cheating? I hope that
David Ong Tat-Wee does not make the same mistake with his new
game and I would strongly recommend that Bright software makes
a "defanged" version of this game available as an upgrade.

                       - Just my humble personal opinion -
