The patch to the HFS FST only fixes _one_ bug with the FST, and
that bug only affected volumes >=96MB. I've had corruption on a 79MB
volume at home. There ARE more bugs. Nuff said.

I printed out the dox on the HFS FST from Apple's Mac manuals a
while back. The catalog structure is a binary tree that smoked some
crack stored in another binary tree that consumed some LSD. I'm glad
the Apple guys got it working as well as it does, and am less
surprised that there's bugs in it.

If and when I slap the FAQ into shape, I might try and write a
program to detect and/or repair HFS problems. Some people are darn
lucky and never notice or experience problems. Good for them. I refuse
to take "it works for me" as proof that there's no bugs left.
