RamFast cache upgrade

Don't tell anyone, but the price of a 1 meg RamFast cache upgrade
dropped from $30 to $20.  And I have the invoice to prove it.  The major
differences I've seen so far are:

 -- Copy2+ will copy a load of stuff (like 50 "pic" files at a time)
to the cache then in one go the cache saves the batch to disk, instead
of load-save-load-save one file at a time.

 -- 2qwk! sorts through long message lists quickly, and what more keeps
said list in the cache so when you re-read the conf it's RIGHT THERE,
no drive access involved.

 -- The Control Panel list of programs comes up in a split second
instead of taking a few seconds to gather.

But I've only had the new chips in my computer for a day or two...  :)
Meanwhile, a friend at the usergroup who also has a RF (but didn't bring
his machine) wondered about RamFast Probe, and I gave him a copy.  He
kinda figured that if one has several volumes ID'd in the RamFast
setup one could turn them off and on freely (and I did this).  His next
question was whether one could plug in a new volume that the RamFast had
not been familiar with (I know, the thought of not powering down before
plugging something in frightens me too, so the test was telling the
setup I only had 1 drive then turning on the second).  So...

And RamFast Probe *does* work in those circumstances, but not without a
lot of screaming.  Wade through a few error messages, some of which
seem rediculous (not the first time my RF has given this behavior; cf.
when I was trying to get a RamKeeper to play nicely), and sooner or
later the system restarts saying there's a new volume online and the
RamFast setup lets you add it correctly.  No more problems, voila!

Don't try THAT trick at home, kids.  I survived by keeping my wits. :)
