Sorry to go way off topic, but talk about 'shock':

Last Friday night an Iowa City police officer was checking out a business
for burglars because a door was open.  He was so SHOCKED to see the owner
talking on a phone that he shot the owner DEAD on the spot without warning.
Even the guy on the other end of the phone was so shocked to hear a
gunshot and the phone hitting the floor the he called the police to report
a shooting!  And when the news got out, everyone was shocked.

Now that is a worse shock than finding out that there are alive apple II
users.  Perhaps our local police force could help do away with a2 users
 ... ;-( 

(I apologize for that last statement.  There is absolutely no humor in
this true, tragic incident.)
