Once upon a time, long ago... there was a game written for the Apple ]
[ called "Mr. Apple Head".
It was an elementary introduction to programming, as a children's game
- it was a picture of a face, and you could ask it for a list of
supported actions ("wrinkle nose", "smile", "frown", etc.), and then
write a script that "he" would then perform.
I don't remember for sure whether it was written in Applesoft or
Integer Basic, but I do remember that one of the more... er,
interesting... features was that it used computed gosubs in order to
execute the various actions.
I know it went out on one of the public domain collections at some
point; I vaguely recall it might have been A.P.P.L.E. but I certainly
don't want to swear to it.
Does anyone still have a copy of this around? Y'see, I actually have
some personal interest here... my father wrote that for me when I was
a very small person, and I think it would be a kick if I could
actually unearth a copy again. :)
Thanks all!
