There would be a substantial performance hit for a true "emulator".
The next closest thing would be a way of enhancing backwards compatibility,
and that wouldn't work.... you need an emulator to get the mockingboard
functions.
So, you're looking at something that will only seriously help the
people with 13+ MHz Zips.
