Beyond Zork IIgs boot problem

I just bought a copy of Beyond Zork for my Apple IIgs.  The problem is it
will not run from my hard drive although documentation states it will. 
Question: Is it not compatible with system 6.01 and does anyone know of a
patch that will cure this?
